Western Downs Regional Council is committed to achieving sustainable growth, whilst still maintaining and preserving the regions natural and built assets. The Planning and Building Department enables the regulation and control of development to achieve economic, social, cultural and environmental management goals. The Department is responsible for Building and Plumbing applications and Development applications which include Material Change of Use, Reconfiguring a Lot and Operational Works applications. Since the 1st of January 2010 the Council has processed in excess of 1030 development and building applications.
