Western Downs Regional Council is committed to increasing water efficiency and reducing demand on the region's limited water supplies. Reducing water consumption and saving water will prove vital in prolonging the levels of supply and adequacy of infrastructure. As an incentive and encouragement to water users to use water more efficiently, Dalby Regional Council offers rebates for the purchase of water saving shower roses and dual flush toilets. These rebates are an opportunity for residents to help reduce demand, while saving money off their water and energy bills.

Shower Roses

Residents replacing an existing shower rose with a WELS 3 star water rated model, connected to a Council water supply, are eligible to apply to Council for a $20 rebate voucher. Vouchers are available from any of Council's Customer Service Centres across the region. Once a voucher is issued residents can use the voucher at any of the particpating businesses listed on the voucher.

Dual Flush Toilet Suites

Residents replacing single flush toilet suite with a dual flush toilet suite, connected to a Council water supply, are eligible to apply to Council for a $150 rebate. Residents are required to apply to Council for a rebate application PRIOR to purchase and installation of a dual flush toilet to ensure funding is allocated to their retrofit. Residents applying for a rebate application after installation are not eligible to claim a rebate. Applications are available from any of Councils Customer Service Centres across the region.
