The 2009 Western Downs Business Capability Study was conducted by Council in partnership with the Surat Basin Corporation and the local Chambers of Commerce.

Council surveyed businesses throughout the Western Downs region to determine the capacity of businesses and major areas of business growth. The survey results also highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of local businesses and helped determine key areas that could be improved.
