Western Downs Regional Council has announced plans to upgrade the old style rubbish dump at Winfield's Road, outside Jandowae, into a modern landfill facility, and waste and recycling centre.

This will be known as the Winfield's Road Landfill Upgrade.

The move is part of a long term region-wide plan which places a stronger focus on recycling and reusing waste, and moving towards a waste wise Western Downs.
