Miles Library is part of the Western Downs Libraries regional network of nine library branches that provide an extensive collection of physical and digital resources for learning and enjoyment.

Members and visitors can enjoy 24/7 access using the online catalogue with enhanced functionality to support resource access and lifelong learning opportunities.

eResources are now readily available for instant browsing and borrowing, this includes Borrow Box for eBooks and eAudiobooks. These resources are accessible via Apple or Android devices and can be accessed from home or by using the Library’s free WiFi.

There’s also an extensive selection of electronic databases for learning and research support. Call in and meet our friendly staff today.

STORYTIME FOR TODDLERS

Toddler Time is a fun, play-based environment which encourages language development and social interaction for toddlers to four years. Sessions feature nursery rhymes, finger plays, action songs, free play and a story!

All of our Toddler Time sessions are carefully planned to enhance your child’s cognitive, fine motor and early literacy skills.

First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with Western Downs Regional Council.

Aladdin and his Magic Smart Watch – Leichhardt Centre Miles

Aladdin was sick and tired of his boring old lamp, so he traded it for a brand-new Smart Watch!

The Smart Watch was great, but it came with a very strange Genie who was always getting things wrong. Aladdin wished for a really big HOUSE and got a really big MOUSE…What the?!

His Mum wasn’t happy either. Aladdin hasn’t been doing his homework, or his chores. He has become very lazy! Aladdin plans to make the Genie do all the jobs he doesn’t want to do…including his homework!

Be careful what you wish for Aladdin!
